For one of the nation’s leading gaming and entertainment
companies, RK Consulting, LLC (RKC) helped develop several
applications at RKC’s off-site development facilities.
The first application was a generic data interface server.
The server was designed to accept electronic data interfaces
from third-party vendors, translate the data into an internal
format, and populate the database with the data sent via
the electronic stream. In addition, an administrative application
was created to help configure the server and interface parameters.
The entire system was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio
6 and Microsoft SQL Server 7.
RKC also helped develop a wireless voucher ticketing application.
A handheld device, running Microsoft’s Windows CE
and the ticketing application, communicated via a wireless
network interface to a server application running on a Windows
2000 server to select and update data stored in a Microsoft
SQL Server. Voucher tickets were then printed using a portable
printer attached to the handheld device.
For a leading provider of Credit Union information systems,
RK Consulting, LLC (RKC) constructed their next generation
of core processing application at RKC’s off-site development
facility. A team of off-site developers worked with on-site
client staff and management to coordinate development activities.
The application is written using the Microsoft .NET Framework
for the presentation and business tier, and uses the IBM
DB2 database for the data tier.
